About Tom Schippert
Thomas Schippert was born in Detroit, Michigan and lived there until he was a teenager. He then moved to St. Clair Shores, Michigan and graduated from High School. Tom went to Ferris State University and graduated with a degree in Business. When Tom was a younger teenager, he visited a library with his brother-in-law who told Tom there was a wealth of knowledge that he could learn from these books and many adventures he could take. So, from that day forward Tom read faithfully almost every day, sometimes had three books at one time. He loved history, political books, classics and much more.
Tom loved the Lord, his wife and family. He married at the age of 19 and at the time of his death they had been married for 58 years. He was blessed with 4 beautiful children, 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Tom was a great teacher and always made sure the directions were followed completely and explanations were made clear as to how to go about accomplishing something. Tom played the guitar, loved to sing, was a great golfer and bowler, learned to love taking care of his yard and planting flowers and caring for the birds.
